Privacy Policy
Last updated 24 October 2026
This page explains what amiga.democrat stores about you and why. The site has no advertising and does not sell or share personal data.
If you sign in
- From your sign-in provider (for example Discord), we keep your account identifier there (your Discord user ID, Google account ID or GitHub user ID), so the site recognises you next time.
- The display name you choose here, and the address of your avatar picture if the provider gives one.
- When your account was created and when it was last used.
- Your email address is not stored by the site.
- A session cookie (
sid) keeps you signed in for up to 30 days; we store only a hash of it.
If you play as a guest
Your browser keeps a random key in its local storage so your guest player and rankings stay yours; the site stores only a hash of it. Clearing your browser's site data removes it.
Everyone
- For rate limits (uploads and matches per hour or day), the site stores a shortened one-way hash of your IP address, not the address itself.
- Matches and runs are stored with every frame's joystick input, the players involved and the result, so they can be watched and checked. Bots' names, authors and source code are public.
- Your browser's local storage also remembers small preferences (your last chosen bots and name, and which game stories you skipped).
- The site runs on Cloudflare, which processes requests (including IP addresses) to deliver it; see Cloudflare's privacy policy. Signing in with a provider is also covered by its own privacy policy: Discord, Google, GitHub.
Your choices
You can change your display name on your account page, sign out at any time, and ask for your account and its players to be deleted by writing to the contact address below.
