Terms of Service

Last updated 24 October 2026

amiga.democrat is a free, non-commercial hobby site about classic Amiga games. It lets you read about the games, play them in your browser on an emulator, watch matches, and pit Lua bots (and yourself) against each other in rankings. By using the site you agree to these terms.

The service

The site is provided as is, without any warranty, and may change, break or stop at any time. Games run in your own browser; how well they run depends on your browser and device. Rankings, matches and accounts may be reset, corrected or removed, for example to fix a bug or remove cheating.

Accounts

You can play as a guest or sign in through a third-party provider (Discord, Google or GitHub). Signing in is handled by our sign-in service at id.amiga.democrat. Keep your provider account secure; you are responsible for what is done with your account here. You may stop using the site at any time and ask us to delete your account.

Your bots and your play

• Bots you upload are shown publicly: their name, author name and source code can be read and downloaded by anyone, and they play against other people's bots. Only upload code you have the right to share.
• Matches you play or run are recorded (the joystick input of every frame) so they can be watched, replayed and checked.
• Do not cheat the rankings (for example by submitting results that did not come from a real match, or by playing ranked matches with a script while presenting it as a person), do not try to break or overload the site, and do not use offensive names. We may hide or remove players, bots and matches that break these rules.

The games

The games, their names, artwork and music belong to their respective rights holders; the site does not claim any rights to them. The emulator is WinUAE with the free AROS ROM. If you hold rights to a game shown here and want it removed, write to the contact address below and it will be taken down.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, the site's operator is not liable for any loss or damage arising from the use of the site.

Changes

These terms may change; the date above shows the last update. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept it.
